What are the Guardlings?
The Guardlings are a gentle learning and imagination programme created by Little Paws to help children grow kindness, curiosity, and care for the world around them.
At its heart, Guardlings is about slowing down, noticing nature, and learning through play, stories, and small meaningful actions. It isn’t a competition and it isn’t about being “the best”. It’s about becoming thoughtful, brave, and kind in everyday ways.
When a child becomes a Guardling, they are stepping into a world where imagination matters and caring for others — people, animals, and the planet — is something to be proud of.
🌱 What does being a Guardling mean?
A Guardling is someone who:
- Notices the natural world
- Uses imagination and creativity
- Practices kindness and empathy
- Learns through play, stories, and gentle challenges
- Understands that small actions can make a big difference
Guardlings don’t rush. They explore, wonder, and grow at their own pace.
🧸 How does it connect to Little Paws?
Many Little Paws stuffed toys come with Guardling materials, such as activity booklets, story prompts, or themed challenges.
Each bear or animal friend may introduce a child to different ideas — like caring for nature, expressing creativity, or helping others — through simple, age-appropriate activities.
The toys act as companions, encouraging children to take what they learn off the page and into the real world.
📚 What do Guardlings do?
Depending on the edition or booklet, Guardlings might:
- Go on nature walks and notice shapes, colours, or textures
- Create artwork using leaves, stones, or recycled materials
- Practice kindness through small thoughtful acts
- Reflect on stories, feelings, and imagination
- Collect memories, drawings, or keepsakes of their journey
There’s no pressure to complete everything. Guardlings can dip in and out, follow their curiosity, and revisit activities whenever they like.

Guardlings is a growing world. New ideas, activities, and resources will be added over time as Little Paws continues to develop. Early Guardlings are part of the beginning — the roots of something that will keep evolving.
💛 Who is it for?
Guardlings is best suited for children aged 5+, with adult guidance where needed.
Older children — and even adults — often enjoy the calm, creative nature of the activities too.
